Michael

After graduating from cosmetology school at age nineteen, Michael Basta Jr began his journey in hair design.
Opening his first salon at age 23, he became an educator and platform artist working with some of the most respected artist in the hair industry. Michael has shared the stage with the likes of Umberto Gianni (British hairdresser of the year) while working as a certified color master at the International Beauty Show in New York City.

Michael has taught for Nexus, KMS, Zegarelli, to name a few.  He has been published in Philadelphia Magazine, Esquire... as well as making numerous television appearances.After operating a successful salon in Philly for 20 years, Michael opened his second salon in New Jersey which he successfully operated for 13 years until signing off in 2016 and coming to Hawaii to be with family.
